Truth is, my arms are a little sore today from hanging on up there for over an hour yesterday. Photo kindly snapped by a member of the Taiwanese Presbyterian church I attend.

Last night, Gene and I hosted a small gathering here, sort of a housewarming party. We’re finally settled enough here to feel comfortable with letting people see the apartment. We moved the last pieces of furniture onto the roof only two hours before our friends arrived.
It was great to cook for friends and sit around our big dining room table for a few hours. We’re both a bit tired today from having been up so late, but it was completely worth it.
After sleeping in this morning, I eventually worked up the energy to head out into the beautiful, bright afternoon for a bit of a wander. The weather couldn’t be better (for me). It’s still too warm for Gene, but winter will solve that soon enough. Meanwhile, I’m ecstatic to be wandering around in short sleeves at the end of October, surrounded by lush green trees and bright flowers.
